he was born on this day in 1942.
Maybe that's been my "problem" today, I don't know.
But here I am at the office, trying to organize my thoughts for the funeral of a friend tomorrow, and they aren't coming. I'll be here till I figure this out.

Anyway, here's to my dad who should be 67 today.
i still miss him.
Peace to his memory and all the good dads who have gone on before. My dad has been gone over 15 years and it's still weird to go over to my mom's house and see his empty chair.
ReplyDeleteFrom the things I have heard about your dad, I am honored to share my birthday with him. He was obviously someone who was loved and held dear in the hearts of many.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you today, Randall.
ReplyDeleteMissing someone is so....so...real. It never leaves us totally but the sting of the loss diminishes over time, doesn't it. We just keep remembering until the memory becomes a sweet and gentle part of us.
It was good to have met Reuben. He was a good man.
Sending you ((hugs))...
May the Father show grace to you today, Randall.
ReplyDeleteThanks you guys. Your words are helpful and gracious.
ReplyDeleteand happy birthday Candace!!
