Their president writes:
Third is an area of concern. This year our enrollment fell short for the second year in a row.
The result is that we have exhausted our financial resources. We need to raise $560,000 by June
to show financial stability. Please pray for us concerning this need.
We also have an aggressive campaign underway to enroll 235 students this fall. The numbers
are looking some better largely due to the work of the FORCE team in youth activities and
schools. To keep from falling into financial instability and possible collapse, we must see this
increase.
Please pray for us in these needs. We began a prayer campaign last week. Trustees, Staff,
Faculty, and Students have committed to pray in half hour blocks so that someone is praying at
sometime every hour of each day.

ReplyDeleteI'm guessing you meant why didn't we send out a letter that said the same things?
We did a number of communications to the Denominational churches last autumn, but felt that for us to establish new relationships with churches that were new to our ministry by asking them for money was unreasonable.
The other fact was and is a decline in enrollment that we are seeing over the past three years. The trend seems to be well established and growing. We need to do discipleship in better ways. By better i mean more affordable and more helpful for kids today.

Hello, So other than asking for money from the concerned churches, what is the board doing to see that our school doesn't close?

ReplyDeleteIf you are referring to the Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, then the answer is I'm not sure. It was an example I posted of other schools having similar difficulty to ours, the Covenant Bible College.
Our school is closing as of May 31, because we were unable to deal with some of the same struggles as the Baptist college.
