"Would you believe..." he's dead?

82 year old Don Adams died late Sunday night of a lung infection.

A couple of weeks ago it was Bob Denver, otherwise known as Gilligan, and now it's Maxwell Smart. All these stars of my childhood are passing. Suppose that means we are all getting older.

I still occasionally watch both shows with the boys. They think they are great.

Makes me feel like a kid again.

  1. I don't know how many hours I watched Maxwell Smart fumble through his assignments with his shoe phones and gadgets. One of my favorite shows was the one where Agent 99 could move balls on the pool table by waving her lipstick. All kinds of crazy things happened.

They don't make shows like that any more. Now I'm sounding old and cranky. ;)

  2. Ahh, I remember that one! And not only could she roll them around on the table with her lipstick, but she actually made a ball jump off the table and hit a kaos agent!

    How cool is that!

  4. I don't think I was around for this, but it's been told around the table MANY times at my house:

My family was at a church service in Weldon (where my grandparents lived) and they didn't have offering plates, but instead used a couple of hats that night. Dean piped up right in the middle of the offeratory in a very loud voice (and the slightly Southern accent he had as a kid) saying "Aaah, the old money in the hat trick!"
