If one is determined to view humanity in toto through PM spectacles then this statement might possibly be correct. In a biblical context, preaching is the conveying of information through the spoken word. That spoken word may include data, words that encourage, words that help people experience more of God. I don't see that statement fitting a biblical context in the real world, just as preaching in a 'modern context' is incorrect.
