In and out

Well, seeing how I'm older and wiser now, and that much closer to Death, we plan on livin large, and see some sites/sights.

So I'll be in and out during the next few days.

Cheers, and thanks again for yesterday.

Oh yeah, for my Birthday I got a Classical music cd, a cup with my favorite beverage, Diana Kralls CD, "Live in Paris," some candy, and a cool little radio. I also got some seriously good raspberry pie.

Not a bad haul!

  1. well i'm glad you liked the pie. your sister asked if i knew of a recipe and i did....but boy, did it give her some hassles putting it together!

that pie was inspired by some pie me and Anthony had on our honeymoon at the lovely PEI preservative company, on a lovely enclosed veranada overlooking a beautiful river streaming by green hills (with red dirt roads) and cows dotting the landscape.

If you're ever in PEI, make sure to stop there and definitely try the pie (this version, although amazing, is still lacking compared to the original). And DEFINITELY bring home some of their wild blueberry and champagne (together) jam. MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  2. "A cup with my favorite beverage". A riddle? What could it possibly be? A cup of coffee? A cup of tea? But are those really things you "get" for your birthday? It must be something more exotic...

You don't normally have it in a cup, but what about beer? Or some kind of hard liquour?

Or maybe you're speaking metaphorically or euphemistically...

    I'm stumped.

  3. You got a Grundig? That is a pretty special radio where I just was. I'm impressed. Someone likes you who knows their radios - or you did the necessary hinting.

  4. Looks like it was CD-gift year then, although I did ask for mine.

My mother gave me "here I am to worship" from the worship together series, which is great because I always like to hear good new stuff (not so keen on the naff new stuff). It's also a resource for the church.

My wife bought me Gary Moore's "Power of the blues" which was really a present for me. If you like blues hot and raw (think Cream - he actually sounds a great deal like EC did then) it's superb. He's about our age, and plays like he means it, unlike so many that just go through the techniques.
